P. Miles is the daughter of the late
Reverend William Pondexter and the
late Bernice Wright Pondexter and the
mother of three adult sons. Attorney
Miles resides in Lexington, South
Carolina. She earned a Bachelor's
Degree from South Carolina State
University, a Masters and Law Degree
from the University of South Carolina
Attorney Miles is a general practitioner
with a focus on Auto Accidents,
Worker's Compensation, Personal
Injury, Social Security, Family Law and

Attorney Miles is a longtime advocate of human and civil rights, and as a
former member of the SC House of Representatives for Calhoun,
Lexington, and Orangeburg counties, is well known for her support of
fairness and justice throughout the Southeast. She has addressed
audiences in California, New York, Maryland and Florida with an
underlying message that "God helps those who help themselves." Attorney
Miles is the former President of the Columbia Lawyers Association and she
is an officer and member of various local and national organizations.
Attorney Miles is married to Mr. E.J. Newby who is the Vice President for
Institutional Advancement at Florence-Darlington Technical College.
